For generations, it has bound the country together, supported local economies, protected democracy, and provided reliable service that private companies cannot and will not replicate.
Today, the Postal Service faces serious threats. Financial challenges created by outdated laws, attacks on Vote-by-Mail, and the possibility of postal leadership that prioritizes corporate interests over the public interest all put its future at risk.
On July 28, APWU is holding a National Day of Action—a nationwide call to defend one of America’s most trusted and treasured institutions: our public Postal Service.

The Division of Industrial Relations has adopted regulatory changes that make it easier and cheaper for employers who violate OSHA standards to reduce their penalties, including for the most dangerous, knowing violations. These changes will be reviewed by the Nevada Legislative Commission on June 30, 2026.

WE RECOGNIZE THESE ACTIONS AS DELIBERATE ATTEMPTS TO ALIENATE EMPLOYEES AND ERODE THE STRENGTH AND UNITY OF OUR UNIONS."
The American Postal Workers Union (APWU) has launched a nationwide campaign to defend and expand voting by mail, underscoring the essential role postal workers play in supporting the democratic process. The initiative includes the rollout of a new television advertisement and the release of bipartisan polling data showing strong public support for mail-in voting.
